Water-miscible Cutting Oil

Cutting oils are used in metal machining for various reasons such as improving tool life, reducing workpiece thermal deformation, improving surface finish and flushing away chips from the cutting area.

There are 3 types of 2XLUB water-miscible cutting oils;

Neat Cutting Oil

Neat cutting oils, also referred to as straight oils, are non-emulsifiable oils. Unlike water-miscible cutting oils, they are used as is or "straight" in an undiluted form. Neat cutting oils are used in metalworking applications where lubricity is more critical than cooling.

2XLUB Neat cutting oils are from highly refined paraffinic base oil and the products range to cover diverse material and machining operations.

Forming Oil

Metal forming is the metalworking process of plastically deforming metal parts and objects into a desired shape. To enable this, a force that exceeds the yield strength of the material must be applied. Unlike metal cutting, the workpiece is reshaped without adding or removing material in metal forming, and its shape remains unchanged. There are different types of metals forming – tensile forming, compressive forming, combined forming, bending and shearing.
